Howdy there folks as You can see from above I own a Emac G4 1Ghz 768 ram I use it to edit photographs in photoshop CS and for music with ableton live 7 LE. I dont want to upgrade the OS as I have it all set up just right as I want it and am using some legacy programs that work well on it. Anyway to cut to the chase I have recently become enamored of the idea of a small video camera in the vein of the kodak Zi6 or the flip series, I was dismayed to see that both of these require at least, the Tiger operating system. Now at the moment I have a leica d-lux 3 camera which I can use for video on my OS with no trouble at all, just copy the files from camera to my mac , no problem. I am thinking of selling the leica though hence why I will probably need Zi6/flip. Therefor if it is possible for me to use my mac to download high quality video from my mac, should I be able to do the same from a zi6/flip? I am assuming the reason for stating the requirement of OS X tiger is for compatability with included software. surely I could just grab the video somehow off either of these cameras and edit in my own programme ( I have imovie 4 and one of the excellent"missing manual" series of books for it which is my preference. i dont want to upgrade yet as my computer is set up to do lots of things that I need it to do and I am happy with it and am used to a little slowness. is anyone else using one of these cameras with panther? or have any info that may be of help to me besides saying upgrade. thanks very much in advance......Paul
