I am working with quite a lot of files that have names in Korean characters.
I am downloading these from a Korean server. When saving them to my hard disk, the file name encoding becomes completely garbled
(e.g. ±Ë¡§πà - ∫Ω.mp3) instead of displaying the proper Korean characters.
The files inside the zip file have the same issue.

I've looked extensively for a solution, but only found this:
http://support.apple.com/downloads/File_Name_Encoding_Repair_Utility
this utility seems like it would do the trick, but it doesn't work anymore for my system and I don't see any updates.

the only thread that remotely comes close to this problem is this one:
https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/620205/
the only difference here is that my files are displayed correctly in iTunes but not in Finder.

any suggestions more than welcome!
