short version:
my 13 month old mbp battery took a crap 1 week out of warranty. i called apple care and they were not so helpful. telling me basically i should have used my laptop on battery more.
anyway...i took it to peachmac today and after a 5 minute online chat with apple, the tech was authorized to replace my battery free of charge.
thank you apple for standing behind your products and to peachmac for handling it for me.
i am now happy once again and can stop kicking my dog.
sidenote: first look at the new mb/mbp...the screen is no more shiny than regular glossy. imo!
