I have to give a shout out to Apple Support. My sister had to get an EPO and her husband grabbed her iphone and said he threw it in the river...this was yesterday. Law couldn't find it anywhere. So I went and added her a line to my plan-shiny purple 11. Both it home and she couldn't log in with her apple id because it was sending a message to the phone that we thought was in the river. Chatted with Apple support and Apple security said they would call today. They did and tomorrow her apple id will be back activated and good to go. I was surprised at how quickly they were able to get this resolved. Kudus to Apple security and Apple support.

She didn't want to lose that id as she has a lot of pictures that can't replaced in her icloud. So that's my tale.

wow.
that's an amazing story.
thrilled to hear that apple did this (and so quickly) for yr sister.

i wish more people would understand how apple's strategy at success (and profit motive) is in fact helping us to be secure.
other platforms (google, facebook) use us (our location data, etc) itself to make money.
what they did for yr sister reveals this side of apple.

The support story is nice and everything but I think the real concern is her husband throwing her phone in to river.

You need to help and protect your sister right now, this could escalate in to something horrible.

Please do not turn a blind eye to what this may be.

Oh I haven't turned a blind eye trust me. She spent the night at my house Friday night. She has a new phone on my line and I am in constant contact with her. Luckily the county sheriff lives very close to her and I live about 5-10 minutes away.
