My recent experience with Apple has made me a permanet switcher. After a few months on a PowerMac G4 400Mhz, I thought it was time to purchase my first new Apple product.

Sunday afternoon, I ordered a BTO 12" iBook with Bluetooth, 60GB HD, and I tossed in keynote (I will get RAM and Airport later on). The estimated shipping date was Thursday. Even with the start of the holiday rush and a snow/ice storm and me being on the east coast in a very rural area....I got the powerbook at 11:27 A. M. FRIDAY!

Less than a week!

Keynote, which shipped from two states away did not even make it, though it was supposed to arrive Wednesday (UPS shipped it to the wrong state and then was too sissy to drive in the snow).

Last time I ordered a laptop (Gateway), it was also shipped from Tiawain. It was not even BTO. It took a stressful month to get to me (during which I had to pay for two computers and wait for over a month and a half to get refunded, thus entering the holidays with a maxed out credit card).

Shipping aside, the computer is amazing! Anybody worrying about whether the 12" is fast enough, IT IS!

One year ago, I experienced a stressful month for a 10 pound plastic lump of computing. Now I have a beautiful, powerful system after a no-stress shipping!

Yeah mine too. Is it normal for them to be held up in Memphis like this?

Congrat's :)

Congratulations on your purchase :)

I had a slight hic-cup on my G5 order, but products I've ordered from them 'Speakers' took 4 days from Ordering to setting them up at home.

So I think apple is getting much much better on the ordering side.

I agree Kudos to Apple

:D

(Could some one tell me what Kudos means, sounds good :) )
