I know there are individuals threads discussing these. But between this two, which one is actually better for day to day use? I feel that the Kuycon looks better. Anyone happened to have both?

@EugW is the expert on this stuff (but I don't think he has the Kuycon). I think the Kuycon looks better (I prefer a glossy display), but for US-based folks, LG obviously has a better warranty situation insofar as it’s easier to get after-sale support. And a better return scenario, should you not like it. They appear to use the same panel, but the LG is TB5, not that that seems to matter much.

Hopefully someone can compare the two. With any luck, I’ll have a pair of LG's soon; I was considering ordering a Kuycon, but I don’t have the physical space for all of them and returning a Kuycon is basically impossible unless it’s damaged, so someone else can hopefully take one for the team.

I only have the LG 6K, so I can't comment on the Kuycon with first hand experience. I can say the Kuycon has a way better looking chassis, and has that glossy screen many seem to prefer, but according to those threads it also has some bugs on macOS in the implementation preventing HDR support and preventing 4:4:4 chroma on Thunderbolt 4 / DisplayPort 1.4 systems. There is a workaround for the HDR issue though that works for some people. For the 4:4:4 bug, check out this post. There is no fix for it, although the workaround is to use a DisplayPort 2.1 Mac or else to use HDMI 2.1.

For me that wasn't even necessarily the #1 concern. As @filmgirl says, one of the big issues with the Kuycon is the inability to return it if you don't like it, whereas you can with the LG as it's a major manufacturer sold through many different retail channels with good return policies. To give Kuycon credit, anecdotally it seems that they have decent support for those who have actual obvious defects, but beyond that you won't be able to return it. What also gave me pause is the fact that there are companies impersonating Kuycon with better sites than Kuycon's own actual retailers, but they are small enough that they haven't been able to do anything about those fake sites. I also found it strange that the monitor control is based on a remote control.

The LG 6K works fine for HDR support and for 4:4:4 chroma on Thunderbolt 4 / DisplayPort 1.4 systems (as confirmed by my own M4 Mac mini and M4 MacBook Air), and despite the dislike for matte screens sight unseen, I actually really like the look on the LG 6K. Text quality is excellent and the matte is much less obtrusive than matte screens from older model monitors. You have to see it in person to appreciate it, so I'm curious to find out what @filmgirl will think about it. That said, not everything is roses with the LG. Some people have complained about LG's customer support, and while my unit has zero backlight bleed, it does have some dirty screen effect, more noticeable than I've seen on Apple displays for example. It's the panel lottery phenomenon that happens to most lower cost manufacturers though, and less so for Apple in my limited experience.

The other issue in my case is cost. The Kuycon is actually more expensive shipped from ClickClack.io. It depends upon your locale and how much of a discount you can get off the LG, but the LG is significantly cheaper for me here in Canada. If you order from Alibaba, the pricing is close though. Here in Canada, pre-$13.90 eco fee and pre-tax, I'm paying CA$2380 / US$1696. In addition there is supposed to be a CA$300 / US$214 pre-paid credit card to come in a few weeks for those who pre-ordered, so hopefully that's coming too. If it does, that means the pre-tax price here was under US$1500. That makes me wonder if in the US there will be a sale on Black Friday.

There's also the Asus 6K monitor. I don't like their looks though, and I worry about backlight bleed as a common issue with them. However, it's the cheapest of the three.

There is a new model G32X 32 out now, it has better integration with Mac and better HDR,
I thought about getting one of those, then after a serious thought, I still bought XDR Pro, the main reason is HDR support, all other panels can do 6K pretty nicely now, but when it comes to HDR video, movies, all look bad, I have a large media room and another big TV in living room, but I found out I spend more and more time on watching it on my monitor or iPad now, strange, LOL?
I wasted so much money on all kinds of monitors, 4k, 5k, 5k2k, 27 inch all the way to 48 inch oled, but finally settled down on the XDR pro, now I regrated I didn't get it earlier.

Anecdotally, not only does it have true HDR, it seems the Pro Display XDR has BY FAR the best panel QA. There are been frequent reports of QA issues with the Kuycon, Asus, LG, and Dell, but I just haven't seen the same issues commonly reported with the Pro Display XDR despite the fact it's been out since 2019.

If I were to guess, anecdotally I'd guess Kuycon has the most problems, but they seem to have been good in addressing the problems when they do arise.

LOL, on the contrary, during my research, many people had XDR Pro issue, not sure if it is panel though, and it is not repairable, need replacement, most cases happened in year 3. If you don't have the Apple care, you are totally out of luck. so, I bought the cheap 4 year Amazon protection plan for $150 (on sale price)

Fair enough but are you talking about the power supply issues etc? I was mainly referring to the display panel. The display panel itself is superior.

I suspect those irreparable cases are not panel but the mainboard , the mini led panel is still reparable I guess. The reason we don’t hear many people complain about it a lot is because the market is really really small. I think worldwide may be less than 100k sold.

Those xdr replica , many of them started having light bleeding issues after one or two years, but even in US, it’s out of warranty anyway, so service is not an issue, but quality is. I researched it on Chinese TikTok, since they are in China’s market for a while.

Actually, the G32X is the budget variant compared to the G32P. It uses a different panel with lower contrast and a matte coating. Both models advertise HDR support. Where did you get the idea that Mac integration and HDR performance would be better on the G32X than on the G32P? It’s the same situation as with the 5K variants, the G27X and G27P.

I have the Kuycon G32P and would choose it over the LG again if I had to.

If you want cheap, consider the Tcolor. It is under US$1000 shipped with the holy aluminum chassis and height adjustable rotating aluminum stand. I'm not sure which panel display it has though since the description it says 400 nits with HDR600, with 1500:1 or 2000:1 contrast depending upon the listing. It also claims to be 6016x3384 218 ppi but reviews say it's actually 6144x3456 224 ppi, so I'm thinking it's an LG panel of some sort. (Note there are two different but similar LG 6K panels, the older one in the Dell and the newer one in the LG.) Not sure if matte or glossy.

from a Chinese tiktok video, the person said the G32X has improved HDR and Mac support fix.
Before I bought my XDR, I was doing a hell of of research and wasted money on a bunch of high end monitors, none of them can get even close to the XDR on the HDR and Dolby Vision .
