KVM QEMU

Hi, I am running Debian on a G5 (single cpu / dual core). I know that this worked for others in the past but I keep running up against the problem described here:

Has anyone got a working QEMU kvm setup? What distro are you running? What kernel? It looks like it worked as recently as 2019 at least.

Any help would be appreciated!
