I've got a Mac Pro and newer Macbook Pro hooked up to a 23" cinema display via a new IOgear KVM switch. Everything works great, EXCEPT that when plugged into the KVM, the MBP's wifi grinds to a halt. First it's just sporadic, then eventually doesn't work at all. If I unplug the MBP from the KVM, wifi returns to normal.
Why the heck would the KVM be interfering with the wifi signal? My wifi is provided by an older Airport base station, which works flawlessly (with other laptops in the house and my iPhone). I was worried about the KVM working right with the MBP through the minidisplayport adapter, but the display and keyboard both work flawlessly through the KVM.
Any clues? Some kind of ground loop electrical force shield disruption or something?
