hey guys,

i recently bought a macbook pro for college, but i'm planning on bringing my pc desktop along too. i would love to hook both up to a kvm switch that would handle a mouse, keyboard, monitor (1280x1024 res), and pair of headphones. the problem as i see it is the connections for the keyboard and mouse. most kvm switches use ps/2 connections for these... would i have to buy ps/2 female to usb male attachments to hook the switch up to my macbook? any suggestions for which switch i should buy?

ps. both my mouse and keyboard are usb, but i have usb female to ps/2 male attachments for each

hi, you can get USB KVM's - makes it simpler. personally I use synergy and have a monitor with DVI and VGA inputs (cos I am tight and didnt want to pay for kvm).

Synergy is a tcp/ip KVM that also lets you cut and paste between boxes - its really cool.
