KVM Switch - Resetting Resolution

I have recently connected a DVI KVM switch between my mac pro 09 and my power mac g5 Quad. When I switch between the 2 machines the G5 resolution drops very low then resets itself. which then resizes the windows I had open. Is there anything I can do to maintain my 1080P settings so it doesnt go on and off?

An edid spoofing tool will probably help. They sit between the computer and switch and pretend to be a monitor. That'll keep your settings. They're not cheap though. 75+ from the ones I've seen.

Just for fun I connected my new to me ultra wide 25" LG monitor to the KVM. Surprise surprise it looks terrible with the Quad connected! Thought I'd share the horrible results
