My daughter is using Adobe Photoshop on a WIN machine at school - if I install the Mac version at home will files she builds on our Mac transfer nicely to the WIN platform at school? And vice versa?

If you are both using the latest versions of the application (actually, if you're both on at least 6, I think), there should be no problems.
