Hello, recently my macbook has stopped charging. I investigated further to find out that the wire to the adapter has came loose. Is there anyway to repair this easily? I searched and couldn't find much info

I'd just pony up for a new adapter, the last thing you want is for a bad repair to cause a short and damage something else.

No, and unfortunately the defective end is hard-wired to the adapter so there is no easy replacement. They are like $79 from Apple :(

I'd take it to an Apple Store if you can. You might get lucky and get a free replacement from them. My t-shaped MagSafe had a short but no visible damage and they gave me a new one out of warranty.
