L2TP/PPTP connection to exclude torrents (or VPN?)

I'm using a PPTP connection to bypass a certain great ehem. firewall. However there is no need to have data related to torrent activity (I'm using the Transmission app btw.) sent trough PPTP, thus loading the server/reducing speed.

Any tips on how to do a setup where a specific type of internet traffic wont be sent trough the PPTP connection?

Would be cool if you could do this with VPN but prolly not?
