L4D in MBP 2.93 Always Crashed, Ideas?

Hi,
I've been playing L4D (Left 4 Dead) in 15" MBP for quite some time now, and I am experiencing crash very often. I asked the Genius at the local Apple Store and they tell me I have to update the nVidia graphic driver that can easily be downloaded from the site. Ok I've downloaded it and what do I do after that?

Anyone have any ideas? Responds will be much appreciated.

Are you playing it through parallels, crossover or bootcamp? Which version of Windows if you're not running through crossover?

I'm playing it through Bootcamp using Windows Vista 32bit Ultimate. Thanks for your response Revelation.

Well after you download the drivers, install it.

That said are you running L4D from Steam or the retail disk?

Maybe you've figured it out by now, but I experienced these crashes as well, and the fix was to disable multicore rendering in the options menu.
