As you can see its not a perfect fit but it works

It is not the same force of attachment, but I would say about 40% less, but it is stable. Be using it for two days now and it hasn’t fallen off. Look at the second image on the upper right side and you can see how far I moved it up on the mount to get the iPad- to secure, about ¼”
 
I have the stand as well, I noticed that when used with iPad Pro M1 the edge is not aligned perfectly, however it aligned much better with iPad Pro 3rd gen. I really like the weighted base, because of this I use this setup more than my MacBook Air. Mostly I put it on my lap. It’s a great stand but little pricy, I got it from Moment for $50 it’s a no brainer! I’ve been thinking about getting the M4 13” Pro but I’m not sure if it’s gonna fit the stand. That’s how I landed here :)
