iPhone Labels in contacts

I was updating all of the labels for my contacts i.e. Mom, Dad etc. and then I added a new label "fiancé". It lets me add in the new label but then when I try to apply it to my fiancé it just changes to "manager". It is more funny than annoying although now he thinks he is my manager...was just wondering if anyone else experienced anything similar or if there is a reason it does that.
