I played with one at CES.

No fan.

Very heavy casting around the drive.

Only noise heard was the seeking during activity. No screeching or clunks.

Note well: very hard to come by as this is being made in limited quantities. Drives not likely to be stocked anywhere so if you see one, buy it. Probably can sell at a premium on ebay.
