Got a D2 Quadra drive from t'Apple Store in Brum, UK and only opened it today as a gift. Nice. BUT apart from its loud fan (ahem) I have two major probs with it. Or could it be just me, readers?

Ok then:
Problem 1: Where is the Shortcut Button software on the supplied disc? I cant see it ... should it self install in Settings or summat? Im stumped.

Problem 2: I leave it on Auto setting... its stays on .. until the PC powers back up.... then it stays off .. whats happening?. This unit runs out of its 4 week warranty in about 3 days so I gorra work fast!.

There you are then. When does the Auto setting work? Wheres this alleged Shortcut/Activity button software then?

I think we should be told!

Cheers y'all!

Bruce

D'oh! Sorry about the first question .. sussed... found nestling in the box basement was a lonely extra disc with the Shortcut Button in it ... sorted.
Now we have to suss out the Auto feature cos it sure as devilry keeps making a constant whirring sound readers!

Dont all rush at once .... I think Ive sussed it - it spins all the time .. the fan does but the drive does power down when unused .. cheers! For your 'help'!;)
