I have the LaCie Mobile Drive featured HERE
But lately it has been acting all strange. I plug it into the USB and it either:
1. Takes a very long time to be recognized by the computer (about a minute)
or
2. It is connected for about 20 seconds then makes a high pitched beep. (this is strange as I didn't even know it made a noise as it never has before)
If it does connect to the computer it sometimes acts errational. On it I have several films I have ripped including a few seasons of Lost. I tried to watch an episode of series two yesterday but it stopped after 2 minutes and made the same high pitched noise as made in No. 2. I then resorted to copying the episode from the HD to my computer. I would copy it and then it would stop making the same noise. I would then have to disconnect the hard drive becuase the whole computer froze up. As soon as I took out the Hard Drive the computer behaved normally again.
What I want to know is:
A) Is this the end for my Hard Drive?
B) Do you know of any program that could help my Hard Drive without wiping all the movies on the drive?
