Hello,

I have been using LaCie hard drives for a few years without issues. This morning I went to watch a movie and all the files on my LaCie are gone! Nothing seemed out of the ordinary prior to this morning. any suggestions of how to get the files back? They're all iTunes movies so they're not completely lost.

Another option:
Data Recovery software, such as "DataRescue".

You -will- need ANOTHER 4tb drive to serve as the recovery drive, as well.

Just wondering...
Can Disk Utility "see" the drive?
DON'T erase it, just "look" for now...

Try restarting the Mac with the LaCie attached to see if you can see the movies after the reboot. Can you try connecting the LaCie to another Mac?
