so i dont know where to post this or ask about this, but i've come to love macrumor forum so i thought ild ask. this is a big of a techy issue. my LaCie porshche drive wont completely boot up and i dont know if its due to a macOS issue or if the drive itsself is screwed up. i hear it humming but nothing is mounted on my desktop and the System Profiler does not notice any in my USB. there is important data on this harddrive and if anyone can help me out, ild appreciate this. other than that LaCie is good, i think i might have screwed something up thats not allowing it to work.

Have you tried a different machine? That would be my first step..

Same thing here

My Lacie drive won't load up either. I use my lacie porsche drives for protools file storage. One drive I use as my storage drive and one is my working drive. I keep receiving a mac msg "please insert the disk: Lacie Storage. I used disk doctor on my work drive and was able to retrieve all of my lost files, though.
