$399 for a 1tb regular HD? That's absurd....I knew it would be more expensive at $299 id think it was a little overpriced but I understand thunderbolt is more expensive and still buy it.....at $399 it's just highway robbery.....I paid $118 for a 3tb external.

It hasn't got a single disk, it's a dual 2.5" RAID 0 drive.

2x125$ so 250 just for the drives, and 149.99 for the TB controller and raid enclosure, a bit steep, it makes more sense if using 300$ SSD drives in RAID 0 and using it as a boot drive in an iMac XD

That's what I am hoping for in a couple of years, so simply purchase a thunderbolt SSD drive and use that as a boot drive for my iMac to give it a good speed boost.

I didn't realize it was 2 drives in a raid. Still a little overpriced. We need single drive thunderbolt drives or enclosures to make it cost effective. Then you can buy an iMac add some fast drives at a decent price and be done with it.

It's LaCie. They've never made non-overpriced products, IMO.

it's a hundred overpriced EVEN with the added TB premium.

Only the most hard up video jerks (or the rich) are going to fork over for this, but it's not going to help with any good will for the Lacie corp.
