That's what I am hoping for in a couple of years, so simply purchase a thunderbolt SSD drive and use that as a boot drive for my iMac to give it a good speed boost.

Just install a SSD in your Mac now... why wait? Lol.
 
I didn't realize it was 2 drives in a raid. Still a little overpriced. We need single drive thunderbolt drives or enclosures to make it cost effective. Then you can buy an iMac add some fast drives at a decent price and be done with it.
 
it's a hundred overpriced EVEN with the added TB premium.

Only the most hard up video jerks (or the rich) are going to fork over for this, but it's not going to help with any good will for the Lacie corp.

Greedy buggers.
