iPod touch Lack of itunes store

I live in a part of the world where there in no itunes store. As such, in order to get the ipt update, I had to 'borrow' the account of a friend. Does anyone know of a legitimate way to get access to an itunes store if one is not provided for your region? I have tried to join stores for other regions, but all require a credit card issued by that region. I have already written to Mr Jobs about this, but at the moment no one has seen fit to reply.
