Friday I bought Office 08 for my MBP running SL. When I installed SL I did a clean install of Leopard and then an upgrade to SL. I have 131 GB free on the hard drive. Office 08 refuses to upgrade to 12.2.0 and completely disables all of the Office apps. It will upgrade to 12.1.9. Now MS support is telling me that I have to do a clean install of SL because my folder permissions don't appear to be working right. If that's the case why does 12.1.9 install? I think this is a bunch of crap. Am I wrong?
