Yes you heard it here first, call your bookie and bet on it.

The new tablet is going to be branded, very suitably, very appropriately

The ibook!

The more I think about it the more sense it makes.:)

You do know the apple had an iBook before right? Its discontinued now.

Its like calling the iPhone the Newton.

Yes I do, that's why I said "rebranding"

I think that was the joke, unless my online tongue-in-cheek detector is broken.
It is a bit tongue in cheek but i ALSO (strangely enough) do think that they are rebranding the ibook, I would name it ibook too, it's supposed to be a digital book, it will be booksized, and it's more of a book than a table, plus it fits nicely in the line up as a name and there's no reason why a former laptop/name of a laptop can't be transformed into a current device, the ibook moniker thus serving as a link with the past and a bridge towards the future.

i know you probably just think you're really funny.. but books open. and tablets do not. so. kind of retarded. but thanks

How about calling it the MacBoard.

Alternatively: SurfBoard,

or the i'M-so-Bored

So, we should be calling our "iBookies" about this to make a bet?

Thank you, I'll be here all week. Try the veal!

Address is 1400 Pennsylvania Ave, Washington, DC.

The White House is actually at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. :)

its not going to be anything xBook.

books open. like a notebook computer opens.

the apple tablet, as rumored, will not open, and can not logically be called anything "book"

the main characteristic of the books is not that they open, is that they serve as well...books....hence the ebook, hence the eink and the series of e-book reading devices, hence the ibook.

Is "kind of retarded" the first thing you heard in the world? I am sure it is.
