I have about 200+ contacts and seems like there is about a 1-5 sec lag before I can actually scroll down. Is this happening to anyone else?

I have about 150 contacts and I'm fine. Every great once in a while I'll get some lag, but nothing too major. I'm guessing you've already tried resetting your phone and all that jazz?

Yep. Exactly the same.

208 contacts here, and I always have to wait 5-8 seconds before I can do anything in the Address Book.

This is my first iPhone. I figured that was normal. Did that not happen on the last phone?

My 1st gen iPhone never did until I updated to 2.0 at which point it added that damn little contacts button that I can't erase.

There have been lots of complaints about this. My phone does it too. Hopefully Apple will fix this soon.

yup.. and end up doing a 2 hr reset which that I thought it would only be 2 min

I use Exchange to push my contacts to the phone. I have maybe 70sih contacts and it can act sluggish in loading them and the initial scroll will pause. Hopefully they fix it as it does get annoying.

I have barely over a page of contacts and I encounter it often, so I doubt that it has anything to do with how many contacts you have.

Same here and i only have like 30 contacts in there. PLUS some of my contacts sync with the address book and some don't. I don't realize it until i need the number!!

Don't worry, Apple will fix it in 2.01. Just hang on a couple of weeks :)

hate to say.. but I kind find the updates really annoying when I have to reload all the applications and personal settings.
