Lag on rMBP 13" Late 2014?

Hi All,

I just installed Yosemite. There are some animations lag in System Preferences when clicking on the icons and general other animations which I expect to be a lot smoother.

Is this normal?

System Preferences is sluggish on my machine (I guess its because they are reloading the panes from disk) - but the general UI performance (mission control etc.) is quite good. It seems to me that the performance issues occur on per-app basis.

I really hope they smooth out the animations in the next update. The dropped frames are annoying as hell.

Part of the supposed lag has to do with Yosemite reindexing everything. Patience, young Pandwan learner.
