Lagging BT Mighty Mouse

A couple of days ago, my BT Mighty Mouse has been acting weird. When I first turn it on and start using it, it works fine, but after maybe an hour it just seems to start lagging. I can turn it off and back on but it's just a repeating cycle. Is this normal or should I try to get it exchanged for a new one?
