lagging screen saver

I have 2 ATI 2600 HD graphic cards in my 8 core, with 3 screens and my screen saver is really lagging badly (5+- FPS ) I tried EVERYTHING including new graphic cards and it still lags. If I set it to only the main display it stops lagging. any suggestions?
