Seems perfectly fluid to me. See screen recording I just made below (I used a different PDF file that had more pages to serve as a better example):

I'm using an iPhone 13 Pro Max on iOS 15.0.1

Oops. Yes I did, I also meant to add it’s on my 13 Pro
Can you tell me if the 15.1 betas you are testing has a fix in it for the touch screen response, where you touch the screen that the touch is not registered? There also seems to be bug in the battery usage algorithm in iOS 15, do you know if that has been fixed in the 15.1 betas? And your battery life using 15.1 betas?

Yes I have this issue as well. However when I activate screen recording it goes back up to 120hz. I’m on 15.1 beta 3

Ah, didn't notice this before, but you're right that for some reason the screen recording makes a difference (odd, because you'd think that screen recording would slow things down, not speed things up). However I don't think it's actually the screen refresh rate that's the issue. In the PDF file I was demonstrating with, it seems like the scrolling is "arrested" consistently at each page break. If I zoom in on a single page and move it all around, it's definitely 120Hz smoothness.

I haven't experienced any of these bugs. Granted, I have had 15.1 beta 3 on my iPhone 13 Pro since I first got it.

iPhone 13 PM on iOS 15.1 beta 3 and I’m experiencing it. Coincidentally, I noticed this earlier today and stumbled upon this post by chance now. I’m also still experiencing touch not registering sometimes.

Still noticing this on the RC. Very frustrating. Can we all report it via the feedback app? I've sent 2 in so far (beta 4 and RC).

Edit: applefeedback:// for those of you not on the beta!

I have this issue on my 13 Pro Max, scrolling in PDF-files is almost impossible. I’m on iOS 15.1 and I’ve tested it on another 13 Pro Max with the same result.

Slight tangent, but does anyone know of a pdf reader that works with 120hz? Been using Documents for years and it's a jittery mess compared to the rest of the phone.

Noticed this when opening a PDF from the Gmail app (i guess it uses Safari browser kit)

I have had this issue with my 13 Pro Max since launch. I’m surprised this isn’t a more known issue? It is perfectly reproducible on the 13PM and perfectly NOT a problem on any device with a 60Hz display (or the iPad Pro). It’s not just the PDF pages themselves but the entire screen has animation lag (only when viewing a PDF in Safari)

I am having this exact same issue. Choppy/laggy scrolling when viewing a pdf document. It might have happened when viewing certain sites in Safari as well. I have an iPhone 13 Pro.

I have this too. iPhone 13 Pro Max 1TB. 15.1.1.

A pdf within Safari is almost impossible to scroll through, but import it into Acrobat and it’s perfect.
