I'm having many problems related to connecting to my MBP from another Mac and iOS devices on the same AirPort Extreme LAN.
The biggest issue is that I can't connect or even ping my MBP using the hostname from another Mac. It just returns unknown host. Firewall turned off, no difference. Using the IP works though. And when I connect to the network using WiFi, even the ping to the IP has latency in the 200-400ms range with tons of packet loss. I used the network diagnostic tool and no anomalies were found. Strangely, I can ping the other Mac using its hostname with no problem.
I'm kind of at a loss at this point. I've never had these kinds of networking issues with a Mac.
