1) Hold iPhone in portrait while locked.
2) Press and hold power button until the 'swipe to turn off' screen appears
3) Turn iPhone to landscape
4) Screen changes; press the cancel button

You then see a split second of a landscape lock screen.

Bug, future feature, removed feature, pointless feature?

This is on my 6+, may not even be new - might do the same on previous models I don't know...
 
Interesting.. Worked for me on my 6+ on 8.0.2

Would like to have the option of landscape lock like the iPads do :)
 
just to add.. the landscape 'swipe to turn off' screen does work and function correctly. I assume that is a plus only thing, hence why the bug only works on plus?
