I don't know what it is, but my iPhone frequently locks itself into portrait mode somehow. When I check the portrait mode lock setting by double clicking the home button it isn't actually toggled. Is my iPhone bugged?

It's rather frustrating, as the only way to get it to go back into landscape mode (that I'm aware of) is by turning off the phone entirely and restarting it.

Hold down home and power untill the slide to power off apears then imediatly release the power button but keep holding the home button untill it comes back to the springboard. that should reset your settings and you should be fine.

If that doesn't work ,try a restore.
