Landscape to Portrait View

I have a Macbook and I use it for drawings: Photoshop & Artrage.

Is there a way to flip the orientation of the screen from landscape to portrait view?

You mean flip the whole display? I don't think you could really do this well. I know there was a program that kind of did this, but when it was in portrait there were big bars down the sides making it a big waste of space.
