Landscape typing

Always wondered does anyone use landscape typing on there iphone? I never used it on any of my iPhones and don't know any advantages to it. Wondering if anyone here uses it?

Not me. I use voice txt messaging. So much easier. My first smartphone and I hate typing....

I use landscape typing all of the time.

Only way I can type. Bad eyes and bigger fingers, so any extra room and size is a big help.

Me too! Can't handle portrait typing, so frustrating too that many third party apps like Facebook don't support it.

Same here. Landscape only if possible. The larger keyboard makes it much easier.

i never use it and i prefer portrait typing. i dont like how it leaves nearly zero space to read the previous messages since it needs room for the keyboard.

I have an Android phone and I prefer to type in landscape. The reason is that I find the portrait keyboard to be too narrow. Typing in landscape is more comfortable for me as I thumb type with both thumbs.

If I need to type with only one hand or type while the phone is mounted in my car, then I would use the portrait keyboard.
