Hi,

So I live in Middle East, and i'm planning to preorder an iPhone 4S through a friend. I may consider UK or Canada since they sell officially unlocked phones.

I was wondering, will it support the other languages, (mainly Arabic)?

R.I.P. Steve Jobs, you will always be remembered :(...

Yes you can change the language it is set to. However Siri (Voice Control) will only work in American, UK or Australian English

I meant writing in Arabic. So, can I write and read in Arabic?

As for Siri I am confident that it would be in English. Arabic language is just so complicated :D...

Another question from me, will siri be capable of understanding non-english names in contacts? Or type stuff we say other than english

for example: Text emir that gec kalacagim. (means text emir that i will be late)

i hope it at least understands the names, i am however not expecting for it to understand the full text.

I think it understands the pronunciation of the names, but not the foriegn text, just like most of other voice-recognition programs
