I've purchased two of these lapel mics which had top ratings, but when I plug them into my iPhone 4, my iPhone does not recognize the external lapel mic, and continues recording from the default internal mic for camera, Voice Memos and RecorderApp.

Yet, Apple's earbuds/mic continues to work fine. Any suggestion what might be wrong with these lapel mics?

Cable's length: 2 m
Frequency response: 15 Hz to 16 kHz
SPL: max. 132 dB
Supply voltage: 1.5 to 10 V
Impedance: 800 Ω
Sensitivity: -45 dB

you bought them on aliexpress, which means they were manufactured for pennies in some warehouse in china. That's whats wrong with them. aliexpress is like the ebay of china. It's always a little shady.
