Sorry guys, I didn't want to mis leading, I have a PowerBook 15inch now, and I think the keyboard on the PowerBook is ok, just when I seen Mr Jobs use a desktop keyboard in those only streaming shows the sound of it is so cool, may I ask you guys, if who has a PowerBook and also have an external keyboard, which keyboard you prefer? Why?

Thanks

I usually prefer laptop keyboards because the are usually much firmer than desktop keyboards. I really hate dell laptop keyboards because i think that there keys are undersized.

I have an external keyboard plugged into my PowerBook, but it's only so that I can move the PowerBook higher on my desk and just have a keyboard taking up my workspace. I prefer the laptop keyboard. My PowerBook is so silent, that the near silence as I type on it's keyboard is fitting to its style. I also like the laptop (scissors-style) keys because they are shallower, don't have to be pushed down as far, and allow me to type faster.

i like full sized keyboards for everyday use, but with a powerbook its not the most practical of things, unhooking it and all, so i got the BT Keyboard from apple, easy too use and i like the response time too

I like having an external keyboard. the screen on the laptop can be in a better position for my eyes and I have the full size keyboard with the number pad.

Mind you I have trouble using a completley normal keyboard any more. I can either use one of the ergominc keyboards or a laptopl keyboard. But if it was just a regalar keyboard or a laptop keyboard I still would go with the regular extranl mouse and keyboad if I am working at a desk or have a lot of typing to do

NoteBook keyboards all the way, I hate and I am using the word HATE here desktop keyboards.

I am bias however since I am also a notebook person no desktops for me. :) Long live the notebook. :D

P.S. I have never owned a desktop of any kind in my life for more than 2 weeks. ;) :)

I love my thinkpad keyboard. Thinkpad keyboards are arguably the best in the world...well, them and the mac laptops keyboars of course. I HATE working on desktop keyboards. I allways hit the wrong keys, and type much slower. I like the clikyness of notebook keyboards, and the fact that they do not have a lot of travel. It all depends on ther person, allthough my hypotheiss is whichever kind you use more, that is the one you prefer.

I definitely prefer laptop keyboards. I've used a desktop my entire life before getting my notebook, and would only use my friend's or dad's laptops when I have to. Switching from the desktop keyboard to a laptop takes me about a minute or less to get used to. It's great, less click sounds, more shallow. I pretty much agree with what people said for notebook keyboards. My only gripe is the lack of a real num pad. But I'm fine with num lock.

I also hate trackpads, but that's a different story.

i love my pb keyboard, i would say it ispossibly one of hte best i have ever used. i normally hate laptop keyboards usually as they are really plasitcy and unresponsive, but not on my pb! when going back to using an ordinary keyboard it feels so odd and my rsi comes back so give me my pb keyboard any day!
