"laptop upgrade kit"

My question is the following: with the Samsung SSD's there is an option of choosing the laptop upgrading kit with the SSD. What is that, and does it make sense to buy it.
I should add: I already have an SSD in my MBP (early 2011 15") but want one in my Optibay...

Another question that came to my mind: Does it make sense to put the SSD I have from Apple in the Optibay (128gb) and put the new one (256gb- either Samsung or Crucial m4) where the original was or not? - speed wise I mean.

All you need is a screwdriver and the optibay, nothing more.

The 830 will be available in three different configurations: a standalone drive, a notebook upgrade kit and a desktop upgrade kit. The notebook upgrade kit comes with a USB to SATA adapter cable, while the desktop upgrade kit comes with a 3.5" adapter. Both upgrade kits come with a full copy of Norton Ghost.

Those USB to SATA adaptors can be had for a couple of dollars if you do need one.

Thank you! Does it make a noticeable difference to put the new SSD as the main drive? Or are both SSD's (the new one and Apples) basically the same?

Oh and one more question: Do you know if the Samsung 830 comes in 7mm or 9,5mm?
I read that most optibays are made for the 9,5mm ones,right?
