Laptop webcams?

I have always wondered why laptop webcams can't be as good as phone cameras. Any ideas why? Thanks. :confused:
 
1. It's made for video
2. The 720p Facetime camera is better than most phone's front cameras that are used for video chat
3. Video chat quality depends on software you use and bandwidth you have available
