I need a notebook with the old system 9. :apple:
Someone know where is possible to buy it??
Someone know if in San Francisco there are some store that sell it?
Cheap place are accepted! :p

Thank you!!:D

I need just a notebook with the system 9... but cheaper as possible. So old notebook are accepted :)

Pick up a Powerbook G3 Wallstreet or Lombard cheap on eBay, perfect for OS 9. I would steer clear of the pre G3 PPC Powerbooks, though most will run OS9 , they are much happier with OS 8.6. If you have a couple hundred $ to spend the early Ti G4 Powerbooks run OS 9 very well.

That's good, because there aren't any new ones that'll do what you're looking for. Speaking of which...

I'm just curious, what is it that requires you to run native os9?

In addition to ebay, I just found...

12" G4 iBook for $450. Better hurry before this stuff finds it's way onto the Antiques Roadshow.

i thought any PPC had os9 on it? all the iBooks in my family have it on along with osx

Nope, The last Powerbook to boot in to stand alone OS 9 was the last release of the Ti G4 PBook. No Al G4 Powerbook will boot OS 9 directly, just emulate it under Classic.

Not quite. The fastest (and final) notebook to boot OS 9 directly was the 12" Aluminum PowerBook G4, 867mhz. I know because I owned one, and got a kick out of the fact that it was a little history-making computer.

Seriously, that thing would run OS 9 so fast it was unreal. I wish I had never sold it. And if you're looking to be budget-conscious, that particular Mac isn't a good choice because it's highly-sought after on the Bay.

Really? - Macs that only boot in to OS X
