I have now downloaded it from ADC and I cant work out how on earth to get the DMG file burnt onto a DVD or Ext Hard Drive.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How I did it: before inserting a DVD-R into the drive, I opened Disk Utility. In there, I selected the Tiger DMG file and clicked the 'Burn' icon. Then I inserted the DVD as prompted. It worked flawlessly, and shortly thereafter I was staring at the beauty that is pre-release Tiger. I believe it will not work from an external HD - at least according to the release notes; it needs to be burned to a DVD.
