As I bring the remainder of my macs up to Snow Leopard, I need to replace my aging Xante Accel-a-Writer, which is an Apple Talk printer (11x17 b+w laser). It was a slow but faithful workhorse.
We have a network of ten macs in our architectural practice, and I am looking for a tabloid color laser printer, that handles 11x17 or 12x18 paper in a second tray or manual feed mode.
Naturally, Snow Leopard compatibility is paramount, as is dependable performance and support.
I am not getting any advice from my Apple Business Group. Don't know where to turn. Willing to buy locally, or online. Tekserve, in NYC, which seems to specialize in macs and business solutions, only shows Xerox, so maybe that is telling?
So far, I have been looking at Xerox Phasers, which seem to be pretty good, and HPs which don't seem to have such favorable reviews from users.
