My good old Brother MFC-6490CW printer is not compatible with Ventura and Brother is no longer supporting it. I'm looking for recommendations on a replacement with the following requirements:
- Scan and print tabloid size (11x17)
- Accessible over ethernet and wifi
- Fax (yes, I still need to send or receive one occasionally)
- Reasonably priced ink
- Longevity (compatible with the next few OS updates)

Print quality is not critical as I have a Canon Photo printer for when I want a good quality print.

Thanks.

So far the HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 seems like a good candidate. But it was released in 2016 and HP guarantees support for 3-5 OS updates from the release date. I'm not concerned about 7-year-old hardware design, but about software support.

Does the fact that it supports AirPrint increases its longevity expectation?

UPDATE: Brother MFC-6490CW IS compatible with Ventura although Brother no longer supports it and does not release new drivers for it. This ends my search for a replacement.
