I am looking at buying a new hard drive for my MacBook Pro. Right now I have a 160 GB 7200 rpm drive and am looking at a 200 GB 7200 rpm drive. As far as I can tell that is the largest 7200 rpm drive out there. Is that accurate? And is there any way of knowing when larger choices may be available?

Thanks!

I think 200gb is the largest 7200rpm HDD for notebooks at the moment. However By the end of the year I would expect larger drives in the 250gb + range to hit the market at decent prices.

Google? Hopefully you know that swapping the HD is not covered, so if you mess something up you will be responsible to pay to get it fixed.

also remember failure rates are always highest in the newest top capacity drives, a lot of people like to stay a generation behind.
