If Apple decides to release a 4 to 4.6" iPhone would you still be interested in a iPad? I own a "new" iPad but I also have a Galaxy Nexus so for me I would still buy. But if the next iPhone was the Galaxy Note size I would not buy a tablet. And the only reason I don't have the Note is because it's not on Verizon. Can't leave my grandfathered unlimited plan.

I would still buy both. I use a wifi only iPad which is mainly used at home. My iPhone is for using on the go. So while I'd welcome a larger iPhone screen, I'd still be using the iPad at home. The iPhone won't have the same battery life as my iPad.

I'd buy both. different products, different usage scenarios.

This.

A 5" device is basically in no mans land, and can't really serve a purpose. Too big to be a smartphone, but too small to be productive on a tablet.

I honestly think there will be a jump in screen size on the next iPhone, but only to 3.7" which is fine in my opinion. I keep using my friends nexus one when I'm at his house, and the screen size is perfect for me.

I've never understood the urge to make the iPhone into a small tablet.

I would still buy the iPad since I use them for different things.

Yes, because the phone is still going to run the iPhone sized apps. Some apps will look the same on both devices but some won't. It would be cool to have a bigger screen on the iPhone though.

I'd vote for iPhone at same physical size but no bezel and availability of a smaller iPad.

I don't understand this whole craze with wanting huge phones that come with almost zero battery life.
