Hello everyone,
Well here is some odd scenario that I face which makes me wonder if it's okay or bad.

Here is the situation, I use a 10mp DSLR and I shoot 4mb JPEGs, the odd thing is, after I use Apple Aperture and export it (I set the JPEG export quality to the highest), the JPEG file end up bigger, if I set it to default, the file will end up around 1-2 mb but now I end up with 5-6mb file which is just weird, cause I rarely hear file size increasing especially with JPEG.

And to my understanding, when Aperture exports an image, it means the image will go through another photo compression right? Like since you shoot in JPEG, and when Aperture exports the photo, it will export it as JPEG, technically it means the image has gone through 2 JPEG compression right? Hence the file size should be smaller (but the current situation proves otherwise), that's my understanding though so feel free to correct me.

So anyone have any idea on what is happening and is this a good practice?
