hey guys
what's the largest capacity hard drive my macbook pr 15" i5 can support ?
could you guys also please get me some links ? preferably from Amazon

It'll support any 2.5" SATA drive one the market up to 9.5mm tall. That's many drives. I'd suggest Newegg for drives though. Much better packaging. Use forum search and you can find some models and some links.

I am pro 5400rpm because it produces less noise. IMO if you want speed go for an SSD with a big 5400rpm in super-drive-bay.

For speed is also important the density. A bigger drive is sometimes faster because they do have the newest gen. platters with the highest density.

I thought the MBP supports 12,5mm but maybe this was the old ones with removeable batteries.

This are the biggest 9,5mm out there.
Seagate Momentus 7200.5 750GB, SATA II (ST9750420AS)
Toshiba MK7559GSXP 750GB, SATA II
Western Digital Scorpio Blue Advanced Format 750GB, 5400rpm, SATA II (WD7500BPVT)

In 640GB you get more options.

what kind of screw driver i would need by the way ?
can you get me a link to those as well please ?
OWC has a kit, what you need is a #00 Philips head screwdriver for the back of the laptop and a #6 Torx driver for the nuts on the side of the hard disk drive (actually these can be unscrewed with pliers, but it is much easier with the Torx driver). Be careful, some of those screws are tiny, and they all must go back in their original locations. Some go in at a slant too (see your owner's manual).
