largest ide ata laptop drive is 160gb? For iBook

I'm a die hard PPCer. I know I will upgrade within two years but for now, I have an iBook and I want to max it out.

What is the largest Hard drive available for ATA or PATA iBook drives?

The best I can figure is 160gb, 5400rpms.

How come they don't make 200gbs for older laptops?

wow thanks I had no idea they made 250gb ata laptop drives!

But NOW...

I want to know...

What is the FASTEST parallel ata laptop drive? From Bare Feats, it looks like this Western Digital250gb may be faster than the existing p ata champ, the Travelstar Hitachi 100gb 7200 rpm ata drive?

Does anyone know? I think because the 250gb is larger, it is still faster even though it is 5400 rpm? THANKS if anyone knows.

Just wanted to say I replaced the 7200rpm 100gb laptop hard drive with a 250gb Western Digital 5400rpm in my Powerbook 1.5ghz 12" G4. it is driving a 23" ACD through its mini dvi port as we speak and I type.

I notice only the slightest of lags and I mean slightest, in loading pages. Really not noticeable. Love the fact it is so much more storage. Had to reset Leopard Time machine though as I only cloned the old drive through disk utility.
