Hey everyone, just wanted to get some feedback at what size is max for an acceptable 1080 resolution. I'm going to be getting a 13" macbook air/pro once new airs out so I can decide. Anyways, I'm looking possibly a 24" or 27" monitor to go w/ it, but some monitor for sure. Anyways, I see 27" w/ 1080, and I can't help but think that it just wouldn't look all that good, text, games, etc. I will be building a small gaming pc and hook it up to it once BF3 comes out :) Just wanted to get ppl's opinions on what a happy size is. Trying to keep my price at about $300. Some options 27", 24", 2x21" if there is a good sale. Also, brands, I know the usual, Samsung LG are good but what about Asus, HP, Hans, Viewsonic, etc. Thanks all!

It's hard to find a good monitor 27" or larger that hasn't moved to one of the 2560 resolutions. If you can increase your budget a little bit, you really should look at the HP ZR24W. It's a very nice IPS monitor with 1920x1200 resolution. It will be closer to $400, but sometimes goes on sale for $350.
